What forms of payment does Ascertain accept?
Ascertain accepts cash, check, money order or credit/debit card (VISA, MC, AMEX, Discover Card).
What do I need to bring with me to my appointment?
Please bring your Driver’s License or State ID card, form of payment and any paperwork that may have been provided by the agency/employer requesting your criminal background check. If you do not have paperwork, the address of the agency/organization is helpful. (For those individuals who have an out of state Driver’s License, a second form of identification will be required.)
How long does it take to capture fingerprints?
The entire process, from the time you walk in our door until completion, should take no longer than 10 to 15 minutes.
Should I wash or prepare my hands in any way?
It’s not necessary to wash your hands prior to your arrival to our office. If we have trouble capturing quality prints, we will request you wipe your hands with a cleansing cloth and/or apply lotion (both provided by us), which usually resolves any print quality issues.
Can the results be provided directly to the individual?
The employer/agency usually requires that the results are mailed directly to them. Results are mailed from BCI&I for both BCI&I and FBI results.
How long does it take for the results to be mailed?
BCI results are generally available within 24 to 48 hours. FBI fingerprints can take a few days longer, although they are generally received within a week to ten days.
